About Nima
Nima Qazi is an entrepreneur and tourism professional, widely recognized within Iran’s startup and innovation ecosystem. A Polymer Engineering graduate of Amirkabir University of Technology, he co-founded Alibaba, the country’s largest travel startup. Since 2018, he has also served as President of the Iranian E-Commerce Association.

Nima’s personal passion for travel and adventure, together with years of experience at Alibaba, shaped his view of travel and hospitality. To him, a hotel is more than a place to stay; it can become part of a destination’s story, culture, and way of life. DONSE grew from this belief: creating distinctive stays rooted in architecture, nature, local culture, and Iranian hospitality.
In spring 2024, Nima co-founded DONSE Hotel Group with Soheil Mamdouhi. Their shared ambition is to combine the depth of Iranian culture and hospitality with the tourism, cultural, and architectural character of destinations across the country, creating a different and more meaningful experience of travel and accommodation.
